A 1 R confocal microscope (Nikon)

The Nikon A1R Confocal Microscope is an advanced laser-scanning system designed for high-resolution, high-speed, and live-cell imaging. Featuring a resonant scanner capable of capturing up to 720 frames per second, it enables real-time visualization of dynamic cellular processes with minimal phototoxicity. Built on the fully motorized Nikon Ti2E inverted microscope, it integrates the Perfect Focus System (PFS) for real-time focus stabilization, ensuring precise long-term imaging. High-sensitivity GaAsP detectors enhance signal-to-noise ratio, enabling deep tissue imaging and improved fluorescence detection. With 405, 488, 561, and 640 nm laser lines, the system supports multi-channel fluorescence imaging with superior spectral separation. Additional capabilities include multiphoton imaging for deep tissue penetration and an incubation chamber for controlled live-cell experiments. Powered by NIS Elements software, it enables multi-dimensional imaging, real-time deconvolution, automated analysis, and 3D reconstruction, making it an essential tool for applications in cell biology, neuroscience, cancer research, and advanced fluorescence imaging.
